One-day Quit Day – let’s get physical instead!
Goal:
Use fun activities to get students who are smokers to think about and make a quit attempt and spend time doing physical activities with students who don’t smoke to keep them busy.
Target Audience:
Students who use tobacco products and the general student population.
Project Description :
Get students who traditionally smoke during the day to make a quit attempt for one day and instead of hanging around outdoors, spend the time doing physical activities that are fun. Get them hanging around and making contact with non-smokers who can support them in staying tobacco free for the day.
How success will be measured (# of participants, survey, etc):
- Involvement of at least 50 smokers and 100 students all together.
- Number of smokers who stay smoke free for the day
- Feedback from surveys
